Good Weekend

We just returned from the holiday weekend and it was eventful (as always)! The food was as fabulous as always....Thanksgiving just wouldn't be the same without the made-from-scratch foods. My mom, Laiklyn, Auntie Laura and I went downtown Clarksville on Friday to visit the boutiques....it was a blast! My sister and I played Uno with my Uncle John (I rocked that game) and then Auntie Laura, Laiklyn, Jordan and I played Scattegories (Jordan was really good at that game). One of the questions in the game was 'name something you bring camping,' and it had to begin with an 'r'......Laiklyn said you had to bring your rythm. HAhahaha! She will never live that down! And as she was trying to plead her case, she danced everytime she said 'rythm' like we didn't know what that meant! So funny! But of course no holiday would be complete without the bickering of family. Like I'm not supposed to get mad when dad mentions an ex-boyfriend and Laiklyn mentions the time I threw up in the driveway (not because I was sick).....I'm glad everyone can laugh at my mistakes. I guess they WERE pretty funny!

After visiting the Luikart household and LoPresti family, Jordan and I headed to Humboldt, TN where Jordan and his family are from. His Uncle Randy, Aunt Martha, and two cousins, Elizabeth and Jim, came to visit from Texas and Josh and Kayla came from Georgia. All of us 'kids' went out Friday night and had fun hanging out together. Saturday was mostly spent watching football and going to the mall to pick out some Christmas gifts....the sales were actually pretty good! We looked at purses and shoes (of course the guys didn't, they roamed around aimlessly) And then Kayla and I rounded up the guys for a much resisted picture.

After leaving all the families, we headed back to the house and spent time with our kitties and put up a Christmas tree Mrs. Ceil gave us (we finally have a tree instead of the bush) and it looks pretty amazing....if I do say so myself!

It is Officially the season to be Jolly! (fa lalalala lala la la)

Thanksgiving

Hello, hello!
So I can't believe it's already Thanksgiving! Grrrrr. Time really does fly...I feel like the older I get, time just ceases to exist; except, of course, when you really want it too. Like I was at the doctors the other day, and time did NOT fly by. Oh well.

I hope everyone has an excellent Thanksgiving! Jordan and I are going to Clarksville this Thanksgiving and we are being joined by my Auntie Laura and my Uncle John (who both always have some pretty good wine). My Dad also just got back from overseas and my little sis had a b-day this month, so I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone. Jordan and I are also going to see his family that weekend, so we'll get to see Josh and Kaylah, our brother and sister-in-law and also some cousins, Aunts, Uncles, Grandpa....you name it! So that's exciting!

Last night, Jordan and I put out some of our Christmas stuff. And we don't really have a tree...Jordan calls it our Christmas bush. And only the second row of lights work in it....But hey, it holds ornaments! Hahahaha! You should've seen us trying to figure everything out.

Well, Jordan and I officially have another member of the family! We took in a cat who we have been feeding for months....he is a cool cat. His name is Mr. Fluffy and the vet said that he's part Maincoon (a breed). He's put on some major furr for the winter and he's a pretty big cat...with a lion-like main, big puddens (paws) and a bushy tail. He's gray with a little white and has green eyes. He's almost like the cowarldy lion because he was probably one of the bigger cats outside, and other cats would beat him up! Even our little kitty beat him up! We took her away from him of course. But he just looks at her like she's crazy and goes back to sleep, even when she's hissing. I'll have to take a pic and post it. He is still getting used to the indoors, but he meows at us and purrs as soon as you touch him...we love him very much! And our Kitty! Now Jordan has another man in the house.

Well, I believe my fingers are cramping now and I'll let your eyes have a breather. Happy Holidays!

First Blog EVER!

Hello Everyone!
This is the start of our blog...although I have a feeling that Jordan won't want to post.

Right now I'm doing very well at FedEx! I have recently started producing short videos and helping manage our internal home page web site. FedEx is even sending me to some computer classes that I am pretty excited about.

Jordan is FINALLY done with his school work and has moved on to his rotations at various hospitals and clinics. He is enjoying it very much and is getting pretty excited about graduation in May....YAY! I keep telling him that he's a bum :) haha! I think he has the last laugh though!

We have totally kept our options open about life and where we want to go. Jordan and I want to travel a little bit and experience different things together. I think we are just itching to do something different, see cultures, and explore!

I'll keep you posted on what's going on.
